So summer is finally here... Less school, more work days, Anime Expo tomorrow, my birthday coming up soon, and er... wait... Anime Expo is tomorrow?! Indeed it is and I will be going there as an RPD officer from RE ^^. Im feeling pretty excited and nervous and abit emo about it at the same time. I guess I tend to think wayyyy too much over these things ><. Youre supposed to have fun at these places and NOT have a care in the world during the summer and yet... I still cant let go of the fact that things COULD go wrong... Ah well! this is what happens sometimes when im not all 420 about everything. Lets see where in the hell I could begin...

Figure/Doll Review: Azone Saber
How did I score Saber? eBay (where else??)! A seller in CA had her up for action while I was browsing around for cosplay ideas (...Dont ask why I typed in "saber" in the search bar =.=) and an auction for "Azone Saber figure "new" " randomly popped up! I quickly bid since the highest bid was $50... I REALLY didnt want to lose this auction (price ranges for Azone Saber usually racks up to $200 or more... $200 IF youre lucky -_-; ). I havent seen Fate/Stay Night during the time but I've heard many rumors about the anime originating from a Hentai Game or a Fighting Game (Similar to Melty Blood series). I enjoy playing Melty Blood and I always thought Saber was an interesting/fresh design to the anime universe. I eventually DID win Saber and began watching Fate/Stay Night afterwards (just to get a clue on her background story and personality in the series). To what I've learned: Saber (Real Name = Spoiler) character was inspired by none other than King Arthur. Her personality is cold and she usually surpresses her emotions quite often to the point where she almost seems emotionless (lol wikipedia took the words right out of my mouth 
). She is a very strong and loyal knight who eventually received an opportunity to participate in a trial in which she must pull/release the legenary sword Excalibur from out of a large rock (yes, we ALL know THAT story 
). Thus, she became King of her country until the day she realised that she had made a grave mistake one day and was eventually de-throaned? I wont go further along with the story but Saber has proven to be another awesome character in my book. Its actually a relief to see a female knight other than more school girls with magic powers or martial arts skills (no offense and YES... I know im leaving out Berserk as well as any other anime with knights and warriors xD).

As I mentioned before, Azone Saber is quite expensive (from the times I'VE looked for her) and there is also an alternate version Saber that features her with actual rooted hair and the casual clothes you see in the series (Rin Tōsaka was also made by azone but she is limited/rare and is racking up to a whopping $700+ usd.... damn ><).
The armor feels like real metal (I love hearing the sound of metal *CLANK* together xD *no sarcasm), though this can be a problem... Saber's obitsu body isnt used to the weight of actual metal, thus, equiping her with her gauntlets and/or sword will usually weigh down her arms. She could pull off a few cool poses but dont expect her to make any sword swaying poses or anything by herself. She cannot stand firmly most of the time (im shocked the box DIDNT include a doll stand..-_-). Her chest plate can also be a problem if it isnt adjusted correctly (it distances itself from her actual chest since the strap her it is located in the bottom). I wish Azone would have developed or used a better body for poor Saber... It would be nice for her to actually come with a better body that could actually withstand the weight of all of her metal armor (I guess that's a job you'll just have to do yourself xD). I wont get into much detail about the body since I've shared my thoughts about obitsu bodies before, ESPECIALLY due to the fact that Saber's left arm seems to pop out like crazy (seems to be a theme with obitsu bodies for me for some reason -___-). Other than those pet peeves and her neck/spine not being very pose-able, I am very happy with the detail of this fig! actual metal armor, her outfit really resembles the same one from the anime, and her head sculpt is awesome! What else can I say?
To be honest, I like keeping Saber's armor off. NOT only because of her awesome outfit design but she also feels a whole LOT lighter. The obitsu body seems to be ALOT more pose-able without the armor causing struggle and weighing. Underneath is just a plain white dress and beneath THAT is a pair of white slacks (as seen in the anime... if any of you pervs have noticed any upskirt shorts... =_= ) and she also has a plastic net underneath that white dress (I assume its there to keep her dress in proper form). You'll probably notice in these shots that she has regular obitsu hands, ONE of her gauntlets is designed to help hold her sword (this causes a problem since her guanlets are partially heavy with metal AND her sword is full metal... THIS weighs her arm down quite significantly -_-).
This is most of the stuff she came with. Her original armor/outfit, an alternate outfit (which i'll complain about in a sec.), sword, and a sock looking GLOVE that goes over the hand that holds the gauntlet that holds the sword *huff puff*. I suppose the glove helps keep the gauntlet from slipping off when you make her hold her sword.
So I did realize that the casual clothes that are seen in the series ARENT in this version for some reason.... Why...? Because the more expensive version with the rooted hair has those clothes! Of course
! Im not sure if her other outfit is sold with or without her other version but it kinda does stink not being able to have those clothes... they're the ONLY casual clothes I've seen her wear in the series (they make her look like an awesomely hot secretary or teacher o.o). WTF?! I guess this version is stuck with a dark brown outing outfit that isnt so bad. I havent seen it in the series (I dont know if its a special outfit that is actually seen in the series or if theres an ova where she wears it or maybe its an alternate outfit she has in a manga series im unaware of??? WTF?! 
). Still looks pretty neat though. I still think it makes her long barbie neck abit noticeable though.. (havent taken many good photos of it though! sorry =.=).
I guess thats about all I have to say about it! Overall, Azone has done a wonderful job creating this figure. I believe they wanted to get as much detail from Saber in the anime as much as possible (even if it does conflict with the fact that its body cant hold alot of weight ><). Im glad I did manage to win this figure over eBay but I seriously dont think its worth being over $200..... Maybe $150 xDDD >_>. As for Rin... I highly doubt i'll be able to luck out enough to find an auction for her since she's so damn rare. She could stay $700 cause I sure aint going for that
....(Saber is cooler anyways <_<).

TODAYS NEWS! SSFIV AE for PC is already being.... hacked....
... lmao. I didnt do these but it seems that movesets are already switched between characters. This actually took quite a while for people to do when Street Fighter 4 released on PC. I doubt Capcom did a great job protecting the game from hackage if this crap is being done already. Im sure nude skins and other bizarre hacks shall hit for AE pretty damn soon.

Anime Talk:
As mentioned before... I recently saw Fate/Stay Night and thought it was a pretty decent series. I linked the image above (Saber) to the site where you could watch episodes like how I did. I DO like the series although the concept of it REALLY reminds me of Zatch/Gash bell and Sekirei -_-. Human controls a human like a pokemon. Even if you want to argue about the details its kind of the way I see it. I dont know if theres a specific genre for these kinds of animes but the concept and plots dont really get old for me xD. Fate/Stay Night still had a fresh new feel to it and I actually approve of it since im usually picky about newer animes now a days (yes... I know this anime ISNT all that new <_<).
Im still keeping up with One Piece. The last filler/flashback was actually pretty nice since I've always wondered more about the childhood of Luffy and Ace. NOW that this flashback is finally over, im hoping that PRESENT time Luffy will actually move along and get going before we must sit through another 10-20 episodes of watching him struggle over another story again... -_-. Getting my cosplay ready for tomorrow. Managed to make a red herb as some add-on paint to my costume to make it seem abit bloody. Im going to do my best to go to AX for 3 days. 1 day as a cosplayer and other days as a casual visitor so I could finally photograph a few cosplayers this year. Things are kinda screwy but im sure with that set aside... This year should be fun xD.... I didnt FIGHT my boss for vacation time JUST so I could flush this opportunity down the drain -____-. Hope to see a few of you there
