 Horror movies, Pumpkin treats, scary places to wander, and masks.... Best October ever? It may not have topped the October's I had as a kid but last month sure has been pretty awesome imo (Happy Belated Halloween everyone!). Im going to skip past the apologies for making another late weblog (once again), I find it hard to post here whenever im lazy, have 300 other things in mind, or when there's nothing exciting to tell. I actually wanted to go to Knott's Scary farm this year but didnt have the chance to due to finances... Though I did find other ways to have fun  *coughcoughcoughtrespassingthroughrandomplacescoughcoughcough* *ahem*! Been trying to find a few haunting places last month but didnt find many (except for this old abandoned building behind my hospital and a shack in the midddle of nowhere). I cant really say how im doing since I've either been depressed or un-sober (dont ask) but I can tell you all that I've been fine! Hopefully I could get around to increasing my collection sooner or later once I get past a few bills as usual... *sigh* das life for ya .

One day I found myself driving along a road parallel to the 15fwy.. I wanted to play "Final Fantasy" and explore around for abit!

I first came across an abandoned shack in the middle of nowhere :l . The place felt eerie and I didnt want to stick around to see who actually DID live around here...

Then I drove down the road abit more and stumbled into a woodland area (which are pretty rare around my parts). The smell was interesting and the place even came with it's own trashy couch! Things went well till a police car stopped by and asked why I had parked my car off the road to walk through the woods... And of course....


My adventure ended earlier than I thought.


SO! I just went back home and played some SSFIV: AE! The End!

Yes, I've heard about the recent UMVC3 Character Trailers (Rocket Raccoon & Frank West). Yes, I've heard about Capcom's idea of Gems in SFxT. Yes, I know Phoenix Wright in UMVC3 is pretty bad ass. Soul Calibur 5 news, Skullgirls news, Persona fighting game news, Missing MegaMan news, etc. (I've heard most of it). I wont go into a giant ramble about how Gems in the future will ruin fighting game tournies or how I think Frank West STILL reminds me of Tatsunoko vs Capcom or any other issues that concern the fighting game community since I've been too busy playing Dark Souls.

^Dark Souls is a very addicting game! Dont let the difficulty scare you! It is hard but it's the fun kind of hard difficulty.... Remember the feeling you all had when you would play your favorite game on SNES (or Genesis or Atari or NES or N64 or Playstation or -Random Console Name Here-) and you would have difficulty beating a certain level or boss? THEN, you would finally beat this level or boss after a billion tries(lives, continues, etc.). How did you feel? Did you sigh in relief? Jump up and shout? Make an evil smirk? Shouted "YEAH!! NOW WHAT?!"?That's how I feel whenever I overcome the difficult enemies, traps, and bosses in this game! Some of you should grab this game from off the shelf once the price drops! I garuntee that it is a fun rpg game . I'd say this game REALLY is similar to .Hack since you could actually see other players here and there, juuust waltzing around (unless if you summon these players or get invaded...-gulp-). I really do think the game is all about dying. Everyone has died playing this game and still continue to die as I type this! So dont feel like youre not good at these kind of games when you first play it~

Pffffffft! You think im all Mr.Console huh? Well I've also been playing Garry's Mod (aka Gmod). It isnt really a game but more of a physics sandbox! I dont know if I've mentioned this program here before or to someone else but it's quite addicting if you have a thing for building together scenes for photographs, movies, fanfiction, or just for fun! So much you could do with a few weapons/tools from HalfLife annnnnnd a few extra downloads (thanks to all model, stage, script, lua, etc. makers!). Here are a few photos I took since I was in the mood for an eerie kind of setting (I simply downloaded these models into gmod, I did not make these models):

^There is a nude Claire Redfield model. This is one example out of many different kinds of game models that have been imported out of their games thanks to skilled gmod fans. From games to actors/actresses to common objects to animes to of course.... nudes (CANT show them off here, of course. ) (though, there are sites that DO host this kind of thing :l ... not here tho). There are many kinds of youtube videos out there that have been made using gmod! you should check out the game via Steam, sometime! (plz dont message me about where to find these models >http://www.garrysmod.org/)


 


As for Super Street Fighter 4: AE..... I've been taking a slight break from it since I've had SO MUCH of it to see over at Wednesday Night Fights (Over at Super Arcade in Walnut!). It's nice to see the fighting game community get together and just talk about what we all enjoy most about gaming. Heck! I have even stood next to a few familiar faces like Floe, Valle, Ross, Marn, Ultra David, and more! It was a good experience to see them outside of a stream for once.... =.= just be sure you arent standing next to them during their smoke breaks-Feels like he has lost ¼ of his lifespan just being around so much menthol smoke!!-. Shoutouts to all of you on PJS and the PSN users that have faced my mediocre Vega while using my other random PSN names: No_Phoenixdowns, LOL_my_CLAW, A_WiLD_Beedrill, blk-neko . I've even found a couple of my matches from long ago, on Youtube!

P.S.! I've also been playing a few old games on emulators as well. I've been trying to relive+record those epic moments I had before when I first played these games for the first time. I played Donkey Kong Country 2 when I was in 3rd or 4th grade? I got it in the mail one day and invited all of the neighbor kids as SOON as I slapped that game cartridge into the game! MAN! This game was even more awesome then DKC1 (which I had to 2P with my older brother back then... he always made me fetch him out of DK barrels and switch out (select)...). I favored Diddy since I was used to palying him in DKC1 (no choice, I was the little brother who was always 2P) and he seems abit faster/acrobatic in the air. The levels were awesome and although I didnt favor this one in the video below, I favored the Web Woods most since the Background music at that stage always seemed so mesmerizing... Anyways, I plan on playing through a few of my old favorite scenes and will end up uploading them on youtube! Sorry about the soundless gameplay, im still getting around to figuring out the configuration for CamStudio...

Megahouse Mikuru Asahina -Maid Version-

After browsing through my previous weblogs, I noticed that I havent really done a simple review on Mikuru from Megahouse. She's one of the first few dolls I purchased before in the past and I never really payed attention to her (Some of you might have noticed/seen her in other photos, wearing alternate costumes). I should mention that this figure is pretty "Loose". As in.... I still have a few accessories for it but most of her main parts and other accessories are either misplaced or....  misplaced.... I'll try to do this like my Toynami Inuyasha figure review, I'll start with what I currently have and move on to what I remember about the figure from before. First off, I have NOT seen Haruhi Suzumiya series and I dont plan on doing so for a while (im currently watching other animes/movies/shows). I do find Mikuru's character design to be quite cute to be honest. Her hard headsculpt looks legit and the maid outfit is "to die for ". nah jk, the headsculpt and outfit are pretty impressive though! The details from all of the frills and the main dress look amazing and I do remember the skirt having some sort of off net underneath for shaping. The obitsu body seems to be the flesh skin model (most of the abdomen is made with a rubber, flesh looking material while the arms and legs are just the regular obitsu design), the arms on this body.... stilll... fall apart... (especially the right arm, I need to look something up for issues like this -_-), and a bunch of neat accessories! I dont have much beef with the figure since I wont go over the whole obitsu body issue again (dat arm keeps falling off with simple poses! argh!). Her headsculp may look awesome but it limits pose-ability.

I do remember her coming with glasses (which can vanish easily), an oven mitt, extra hands (?), and a stand to what I remember (I could be wrong!). One things for sure, the cakes and other food items that have been seen in Mikuru's previous photos are just novalty erasers that I've found from Michael's Arts & Crafts for cheap. I do know that Megahouse sells these accessories too but at a costly price of course... I do admire their different kinds of food designs but I really do prefer finding accessories from random crafts stores. Doesnt she look damn good with that cake, tho ? Other than that, Mikuru doesnt only have a cute side.... I believe the figure also came with a fancy looknig bikini once you remove everything. I dont have photos of her in her bikini but I must say that her rack is pretty darn distracting :l..... very distracting..... (are they this big in the anime/manga? WTF? xD)..... Moving on!






Pros:

• Awesome headsculp
• Amazing costume! inside and out!
• Alot of Accessories

^AAA+ in Appearance
Cons:

• Obitsu body is... meh....
• Glasses could be easily lost
• Not much head articulation

^ Bad ass, right? The guy from Grand Theft Auto 3 as a 1/6 scale figure (His name IS Claude, right?). God must have been listening to my prayers back when GTAIII first came out! I dont know if this is either another figure company or Hot Toys but im really looking forward to this one .


^Speaking of Hot Toys... Way to go on getting that City Hunters license! I might actually pick this up or check out the anime/manga once I get around to it. -peeks into empty wallet- 

^Sorry to be a creepy, weaboo, fanboy but.... Owning this would probably make me the happiest man alive.

Anime Chat:

-phew- Once again I'll have to beat around the breeze to the anime subject! I've seen watching so many movies on AMC that I totally forgot about the animes that im supposed to be keeping up with. Last animes I took at gander at were Makai Senki Disgaea and The Sacred Blacksmith. I havent seen many game related animes (which is why I took up this one about Disgaea) and I must say that this Disgaea anime is pretty decent. As LONG as there are Prinnies.... Then everything is alright.
 

Pfft! These got nothing on One Piece! One Piece is now.... One Piece Z! Look how awesome this show looks, son! The crew is finally getting together, everyone's coolness has gone over the bad ass scale, AND well... Take a look at the series from about episode 515 or so, you'd be quite surprised (im currently on episode 521).
