Finally! Doll Hotness in January?

"Damn that SOPA and PIPA..." - Me (about a week ago) 

That photo up there expresses how I've been feeling last week (along with this week as well). As if the daily BSings of life weren't enough, we almost suffered a great change to the internet. I know it's old news now and i'm glad that things are back to normal (for now..). I'd like to give special thanks to those that did their part for everyone, especially Wikipedia and other sites that helped out by blacking out on certain dates and by keeping other folks informed about what was going on. I was only able to sign a petition, buy a fawkes mask (which came pretty late for the occasion), and I was able to donate 5$ (ZOMG Ooooo BIG spender, rite?! ) to Wikipedia as thanks for their participation in the cause. I know that SOPA and PIPA is just an alteration/updated version of the same bill that has been trying to change the internet for MANY years and it will not stop until a watered-down version of the bill finally pulls through. I'm not really against the idea of SOPA and PIPA since I could understand that piracy and copyright issues are petty problems today but i'm sure there's a more flexible way to fix this issue. I dunno -_-. Hey! Atleast I got that fawkes mask.. It'll serve as a reminder that Anonymous will always lurk and protect our dear internet. They are Anonymous. They are Legion. They do not forgive. They do not forget. Expect them.

Besides the usual internet ramblings as usual, I've also been heading outside abit to clear my thoughts. Been looking for places away from town, you know? A place where you could just sit down like an emo mofo and think things through for yourself (without worrying about the next hot chick/stud passing by to glimpse/judge your looks).

1/6 Scale Edaction Seamless Body

The wait is finally over... After months of patience.. FINALLY! I've scored myself my very own seamless body fig! Well... alright, it actually came on January 24th BUT the mail-person didn't knock on my door hard enough while I was playing SSFIV AE yesterday and THUS, they left the dreaded PINK SLIP on my door (NOBODY likes those things!). I had to wait until the next morning to run over to the post office to pick this up. I'm just glad it's finally here..... WELL... ALRIGHT, ALRIGHT! So this isn't really my FIRST seamless body since I too, have purchased the earlier seamless body released by Phicen (which is now broken from so much posing over time >

P.S. I've bought this figure body because I do appreciate the female anatomy in art (especially in photography). Softcore ANYTHING is popular since it is eye candy for us. SURE, we may be perverts for looking at it, but who are we to judge? Our bodies and minds function the way theyre supposed to, we become attracted to this artistic style, and we um... "appreciate" it in our own ways. I might end up buying a male fig body to go along with this one for art purposes but for now.. Just putting this out there: this is mainly for collecting and/or photography purposes only (you don't have to believe me), so don't expect me to host pr0n or "how to insert fleshlights into _____________" dicrections. There are other websites for that, not here.

I slowly opened up the box, removed the figure from it's black, foam prison and held it in my hands. This figure body is probably the softest body I've ever touched. I've held seamless figures before and they normally feel hard and rubbery but this material used here makes the skin feel soft and flexible. I kinda like how some advertisers usually have the words "SQUISHY BOOBS!" next to the title of this product.. I guess they WEREN'T joking about that part . The chest area and buttocks area feel MUCH MORE softer than the rest of the figure. Why?? My only guess is that the creators wanted this figure body to be as life-like as possible. I mean you girl's know the function of your bras, right? Well I guess theyre trying to mimic that SAME function so photos will seem as accurate as an actual human body (mainly since they err... press up against different kinds of clothing). I could be wrong, maybe this product is aimed toward pervs like myself who realize the fact that this figure's boobs will be the only kind of boobage that they'll be touching for rest of their lives foreveraloneface.jpg. Nah jk! Anywho! THE SMELL! omg the smell is like... WTF . MINE happens to smell odd. It isn't a bad smell.... but it's a smell that i'm sure, will annoy your nostrils eventually (I can't describe the smell. It KINDA smells like a sweet milk tea with boba from one of those asian smoothie places? Don't ask me what flavor). Of course, the figure doesn't come with a head (obviously)..

Oh my... I guess we'll just have to give you a head now, wont we?


That's better! I guess I cant call you "Edaction Body" anymore. I'll name you.. -randomly thinks- Spade! Since I am currently playing Solitaire as I write this weblog 
The figure body seems to have more of a "pinkish" skin tone rather than a pale color. I know some people debate about which doll head to place upon these bodies since they come in so many different colors and sizes. You might see a few photos of this body along with a head that looks much more pale than the actual figure body... SOMETIMES you may even have a doll head that looks abit SMALL on the figure body (mainly a Phicen body problem) and your fig ends up looking like an oversized woman with a small head... I picked this doll head on ebay since I assumed the pinkish skin tone might match with the body... though, it looks good.. It simply isn't perfect. I wonder if Edaction will end up making different skin tones or maybe even release a few doll heads since so many people were so hype with the prototype example doll head.

 

Moving on, the articulation to this figure is impressive! shoulders, arms, torso, legs, feet, neck, and even the figers/toes on this figure are pose-able (fingers/toes seem to be supported by wires?). Impressive, yes! but only for now... The photos I took for this weblog will serve as good memories of how good this body WAS until I eventually had a few accidents with it during this photoshoot. I guess I should really warn you that these type of figure bodies should be handled with EXTREME CARE. Eventually a few fingers and her left shoulder gave up on me due to so much posing in one day. they aren't really noticeable now but im sure in due time, the figure will end up being just like that Phicen body I have in my "spare parts drawer". I suppose it's my fault for not being super delicate with it like other collectors, although if this figure body can't even last through one phooshoot then im sure more collectors will eventually suffer the same fate as mine did in due time. I assume that Edaction will eventually re-release a version 2.0 of this figure body that MAY fix these problems (though, I wouldn't be willing to kill my wallet over it) kinda like how Phicen keeps re-releasing their figure body over.. and over and over.. First it's the body with NO hands or feet or head, then it's later re-released with fixes and NOW comes with hands and feet, then they made a smaller bust size of the figure body which comes with hands, feet, and actual doll head, and NOW they're making actual character figures that come with hands, feet, a head, clothes, accessories, etc.... I find that really annoying but I suppose they have to make money somehow, right? Actually, let me share a couple of comparisons.

On the left is the Phicen body when it kinda first released. The hands and feet tone don't match much since they weren't included with the body during it's first release. It is also stuck posed in THIS position since the skeleton inside the body is damaged and can no longer hold any poses. The Edaction body doesnt need any spare hand or feet parts since they're basically attached to the body as ONE.

Almost forgot to mention that mine doesn bend/sit very far. I guess other than the articulation, the appearance of it is remarkable. Probably one of the best detailed figure bodies I've seen in a while. Sure, there may be a few lines running along the skin that kills the figure's realism but that's no problem! I would complain about there not being a figure base but I suppose the body is shaped to fit into many diffferent kind of figure bases (even medicom's.... -cough-) and the figure's feet are poseable as well, so im sure you could eventually stand it up on it's own without anything . I'm kinda glad I was able to buy this fig. since seamless bodies seem to be a breakthrough for figure photography. Just imagine all of the possibilities this figure could execute in photos. Just thinking about buying a 1/6 scale bikini and a trip to the beach sounds like an idea for breathtaking photos! Especially for foreveralone.jpg chaps like me who don't have a model or prize winning wife to take photos of . -nose bleeds- like I SAID! I don't post nudes here but alls I could tell you is that the female anatomy of this figure isn't anything new... uncolored sculpted nipples, vaginal line, buttocks curve, etc., etc... I will post more photos though.

• Only spare part you need is a head
• Decent Articulation
• Light weight

Cons:

• Very Fragile
• Stains/Attracts dirt particles easily
• SMELLS like 
• Flexibility could use alittle improvement

 Marmit Super Excellent Series: Queen Emeraldas (Younger)

I've never really payed much attention to Marmit's creations since most of their figs seem... Older and not very great in the articulation department. Though, alot of their creations seem to be rare and expensive o.O. I've seen a few listings of Marmit's creations, such as: Chun-Li dolls, Evangelion dolls, Mai Shiranui dolls, Godzilla figs, Star Wars Dolls/figs, Captain Harlock figs, and many more. I discovered a seller on eBay selling Queen Emeraldas for a good $30, so I took up that offer (I thought the Edaction body would arrive next month, so I purchased this JUST in case). Why show it off now? Well... I don't have much to say about it. The headsculpt is beautiful like the anime version of Queen Emeraldas (If you're wondering if I've seen Captain Harlock then, yes... I have at Anime Expo one year. Just one episode of it, though) and for some reason.... I adore this anime drawing style for her. She comes with a base and Space Rapier? Her body is totally stiff and only her head is capable of moving left or right. I have tried switching her head around with a spare obitsu body but her head is abit too small. Maybe I'll keep her this way or maybe I'll look for a more smaller/slender obitsu body to keep her head on. Until then, I guess this will be the first actual 1/6 statue that i'll be keeping in my collection. p.s. I added the red ribbon in the hair since the rubberband that held her pony tail came off...

Later projects:

^I'm not a fan of the show but the concept of turning yourself into a 1/6 scale figure sounds fun. I might try it out Here sometime.

TIME to share more indie-games! (NOW! with youtube video links, thanks goes to the gameplay recorders.)

Obake - Think of playing Super Mario Bros. as a ghost that acts like Kirby? Pretty neat concept since you get to possess many different kinds of enemies. A must check out.

Seiklus - A very imaginative platformer game. The music in this game is very addicting as well as the gameplay.

Treasure Tower - Kind of reminds me of a platform version of Wario-Ware. This tower has SO MANY different kinds of rooms to run through! Make sure you clear all rooms all together before the timer runs out... -_-

Other than those, I am also about to play Katawa Shoujo. I haven't played games like this in a while. This should be fun... That's right, i'm looking at you, Hanako Ikezawa....
