I ran to my car and charged to the freeway as fast as I could. I felt like SPEED RACER! I went 70+MPH through a wet freeway(The gloomy weather turned out to be rain during my nap) and direction I was heading was toward the sunset (SUN IN MY EYES!!!), so I guess you could consider it my first reckless drive in ages. I managed to get there 15minutes before closing time and I MANAGED TO PICK UP BSAA JILL VALENTINE. I was EXCITED.

Finally the moment alot of us have been waiting for. The long awaited pre-order I waited patiently for since June! Ladies and Gentlemen... I present to you....
Hot Toys - Jill Valentine (BSAA Version)
I've decided to do a small review since its 3am and I have work tomorrow (I guess my nap and a cold heart kept me up). Anyways the box art is as expected from Hot Toys. Unlike the simple design of the Hot Toys Leon review I posted a while back, this box shows ALOT of detail in the photo and it looks great next to the RE5 logo as well. Your fingers will tingle once you touch the odd/leathery feeling on this box. Simply breath taking (especially if you've waited LONG for this)! As mentioned before, the box has a small magnet on the side so you could open and close the box with ease and of course a beautiful display inside the box shows the arsenal, accessories, the figure itself, AND an eerie background of the mansion in the game.
The figure itself looks great, every detail pleases me although alot argue that Jill doesnt look like her appearance in the game. I could really care less since looking at her in specific angles will make you realize that "Jill Valentine" feeling you'll always recognize. The assembling was a real pain in the ass even WITH the video I posted before. I followed every step and STILL had to end up super gluing a few small things (there goes the item value 
). The fanny packs and other slots on her belt is a REAL hassle! She should have seriously infiltrated Batman's mansion to have a talk before even confronting the mansion in the game. Its seriously the wickest utility belt i've ever seen (next to Batman). Other than her utility belt, her headset gave me the most trouble. I had to end up fixing the cord/wire correcly and had to work hard on placing her radio pouch on her upper gun holster, in the end I STILL have trouble leaving it in her ear (it would have been a better idea if her ear and headset were magnets or something). Once you finish, you'll either end up either removing some of her overpacked accessories or will live with a jill that has a SUPER tight pants and a delicate upper area. I ended up only leaving her hat and upper holster off since I think she looks abit better that way.

Her accessories issue is only the beginning. Her body has its ups and downs. i'll try to explain the best I could. Hot Toys developed a new body type for Jill and Black Widow (Ironman). The torso is made of rubber and looks realistic (i'd post them here but im trying to keep all of this pg/pg-13?, i'll post some later in my flickr or something). its newer than most other body types but the articulation is very different. The body isnt really the problem but her clothing as well.
Pros about the body/figure itself:
- More realism shots if you ever want Jill to model in a bikini or if you just want to be a perv. =/
- Interesting Articulation (Its pretty fair with some poses)
- She has no feet, there are only ball joints in her shoes
- Her fingers move which is a +1 for me
- Jill's pants are VERY stiff so dont try anything you'd expect from Chun Li
- Removing her shirt is a HASSLE (You'll have to if you want to remove the wrappings from her arms)
- Her black inner suit also stains the body, so beware of this if you're going to do different things with Jill
- Interesting Articulation (Bad side is that making her hold guns could get awkward or could take work)
- The strap/zipper on her pants will eventually unclose properly due to too many fanny packs or unproper fitting (lmao maybe her butt's too big)
Maybe some of you could pull off more poses than this. This seems to be her leg limit for me.
Jill also comes with a variety of good accessories. She sure was packing alot of heat in the game (no wonder she has so many fanny packs xD). Things from guns to ammo to grenades to even a first aid spray. What interests me most are the ammo boxes since they're found throughout the Biohazard series and you'd eventually want to take photos with them with various characters. Alot of Jill's accessories you'll end up leaving on her anyways since they seem to fit her just fine (knife, flashlight,handgun, etc). I know some people have been disappointed since her array of weapons isnt really special from the other Biohazard 5 figures but I really dont know what they could have added to make her anymore special (It would have been sick for her to have an alternate S.T.A.R.S outfit!!). Will Hot Toys ever make a S.T.A.R.S Jill valentine? I doubt it but if they do then i'll seriously crap my pants.
Leon: Why does Jill get the cooler Sniper Rifle? Think she'll trade with me?
Claire: Its an arsenal heaven! Lets take everything!!

Overall, Jill is a very neat figure. She's my first female Hot Toys figure. Her appearance in your collection and various photos will make your Biohazard characters feel right at home even if you do own Chris or not. I dont think I plan on buying Chris (no offense) since Leon and Jill are my only favorite Biohazard characters. I am very happy with this figure and I would get over the downsides sooner or later. Some of you may be happy with the body like how I am and some of you may still be getting used to it since its a new body and all (like how I am lol). Between Leon and Jill, i'd still have to say Leon's body would have be abit better so far. No offense but atleast their bodies arent as bad as Claire's old dml body. It was interesting to see a new body (especially since its somewhat anatomically correct? lol). Jill will remain sitting in my glass cabinet along with the others, Hopefully Spiderman will soon come in the mail so i'll have myself a small Marvel vs Capcom collection
